- The check engine light has come back on following a recent service in which the spark plugs and ignition coils were replaced. Upon inspection, the vehicle displayed codes indicating a lean fuel mixture on both sides of the engine. Further diagnostic testing, including a smoke test, revealed an air leak related to the crankcase ventilation system. On closer examination, it was determined that the intake manifold gaskets were inadvertently pinched during the previous repair, allowing unmetered air to enter the engine and triggering the warning light. To resolve this issue, the intake manifold gaskets will be replaced under warranty. This will correct the air leak and restore proper engine operation.
