    • Duplicated some white smoke on engine start, that clears up within 5-10 seconds of engine running, but builds up with engine idling and is visible on an engine rev again. No engine management DTCs are present, and engine runs/idles smoothly/normally. Engine oil level correct (just serviced). Smoke is believed to be caused by internal oil consumption due to engine wear, most likely/mostly past valve stem seals. – – – Engine would need to be rebuilt to effectively/positively address the smoking concern. Advise just continue to keep driving vehicle as normal, keeping eye on engine oil level.

    • The check engine light is on due to multiple diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the vehicle’s computer. The primary issue affecting engine performance is related to DTCs 2892, 27D2, and 2745, which all point to a failure in the ignition coil for cylinder #6. This malfunction is causing the engine to run rough. While all the ignition coils appear to have been replaced in November 2021, the #6 coil has failed and needs to be replaced to restore smooth engine operation. Unfortunately, the prior coil replacements are now outside the shop’s 2-year/24,000-mile warranty period. Replacing the faulty coil will clear the related DTCs and resolve the rough running condition. Additionally, DTCs 27C3 and 2774 are linked to an issue with the thermal oil level sensor. This fault was noted during a previous visit and is causing system alerts. The oil level sensor will need replacement during next oil service.

    • The fan appears to be weak and is not functioning correctly. Based on a visual inspection and the overall aged appearance of the components, the following recommendations are made: 1. Replace the fan clutch to ensure proper fan operation. 2. Replace the thermostat to maintain correct engine temperature. 3. Replace all radiator hoses as a preventative measure against leaks or bursts. 4. Replace the coolant reservoir with a new sensor to ensure accurate coolant level monitoring. 5. Conduct a thorough retest to check for any potential radiator leaks, as the radiator is not clearly visible due to obstructions and the presence of dry coolant stains around the area. Note: Although the coolant did not leak under pressure testing, the replacement recommendations are based on the visual assessment and the apparent aged condition of the cooling system components, indicating that they may not be functioning effectively.
