    • The plastic T-connection/nipple on the upper heater hose connector has broken off and is stuck inside the hose. At this time, we recommend replacing the upper heater hose assembly and removing the broken piece from the end of the hose to restore a proper sealed connection and prevent coolant leaks. This type of failure is common on aging cooling systems because the plastic fittings become brittle from heat cycles and time, and once one connector breaks, it often means the rest of the plastic components are not far behind. Other cooling system parts may soon require repair or replacement (such as additional hose connectors, plastic coolant tees, thermostat housing, radiator end tanks, or other quick-connect fittings) because the system is typically only as strong as its weakest plastic link, and these pieces can start failing one after another. With the component replaced no other immediate leaks were found. It's recommended to keep an eye on the engine temperature for a while to ensure it doesn't overheat if another component were to fail suddenly.

    • The injector code was set on October 18th while at highway speeds at operating temperature. A weak injector will commonly fail under high temperature. In this scenario, the injector for cylinder 1 is likely beginning to fail internally or has a weak connection that only manifests once heat causes expansion in the metal and wiring. Customer approved disassembly to find the point of failure. With the components removed to access the injectors we could confirm only injector on cylinder 1 and the wire harness to all injectors needed to be replaced. With the repairs completed the vehicle was test driven and no further issues were found. No other repairs recommended.

    • Found low oil pressure warning coming on because of engine oil starvation caused by low level. Added 3 quarts to correct. Unable to duplicate oil pressure warning after level correction. Last service 6 months and little over 4k miles ago. No significant external leaks are present. Engine is consuming oil internally due to wear/damage. Given the high mileage, it’s recommended to add MOS (Motor Oil Saver) and EPR (Engine Performance Restoration) by BG and LiquiMoly to the engine oil. Customer approved.

    • The customer reported a sweet smell and intermittent white smoke from the tailpipe, along with adding about a half gallon of coolant before arrival. Upon inspection, we were unable to duplicate the smoke or detect the sweet odor. The expansion tank was found to be overfilled, but the system passed the block test with no visual leaks detected when pressurized to 25 psi. No immediate issues were identified, and the vehicle appears to be operating normally at this time. We recommend monitoring the coolant levels and returning if the problem persists.
